Organizational Chart...

Mr. G hired me. Mr. G had been with "X" Company 10 years. Mr. G is in Atlanta.
Work P/T Debbie. You & Ms. O (Local Boss) deliver in morning and then Ms. O finishes it.

Production Goal: 22 packages delivered per hour

Called at Christmas and talked to Ms. O and Ms. P.

In addition to me, O & P we have 4 Inmates working.

Mr. C is over Mr. G. Ms. O also in Atlanta and all the former have been co-workers for about 5 years.

Real chummy.

Ms. P has worked at our location in various capacities, starting with Laundry for about 8 years.

Ms. P and Ms. O have lots in common and are "sisters". The above gentleman are "brothers".

Above the above are people in Jacksonville, FL who report to bigger people in St. Louis.

Enter Ms. D...me

Who is not related at all and has never worked in this capacity before, and is at rock bottom.

The first week of March all of the above changed.

I do not know why. I apologize to all above if my complaints of any kind disrupted their family get together.

Enter Mr. S from Jacksonville. Corporate. We are family. Our sons could be identical twins. Same age, same interest in Criminal Justice, same sports in high school, same trouble in college, same interest in military, both colorblind. His son just went into Army. Mr. C has also been in military.

Mr. S has common sense, listens to Ms. D, treats her with respect and acknowledges the fact she may have a brain after all. Mr. S throws out any notion of production goals, work at your own steady pace and if you need to take a break, take it. Mr. S is getting rid of laundry bins for packages because they were never intended to be used. He is sending in proper height carts with lids to be used as a table waist high. Mr. S does not want Ms. D to be hurt further in any way. Mr. S was impressed by Ms. D's knowlege of operation. Ms. D is happy Mr. S has a brain.

End result: Ms. O and Ms. P know Ms. D has a friend in Mr. S. So they are looking at Ms. D with begrudgingly new respect. Ms. D, in turn, no longer feels intimidated and is bursting forth with new found confidence and kiss my assiness.

I like that "new found assiness" You go girl. You will be running the place before long. It is about time that they realized what we have known all along. You deserve the recognition.
